A non-profit 501(c)(3), Dorcas International meets our clients where they are by providing innovative wraparound services helping those seeking to overcome educational, cultural, economic, legal, and language barriers.

The Advancement Coordinator plays a critical role in our fundraising efforts, overseeing donation management, data integrity, and event coordination. Working closely with the finance team, vendors, and various departments, this position ensures smooth donor interactions and accurate reporting, helping advance our mission to support vulnerable communities.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Processing donations from multiple sources, including direct mail, online portals, and event software, and managing related data
  • Overseeing and sending acknowledgment letters within two business days, including memorial acknowledgments and associated reports
  • Maintaining the annual appeal calendar and providing data-driven insights to optimize ROI
  • Researching potential donors and managing donor lists, data segmentation, and event registrations
  • Coordinating fundraising appeals and engagement events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Collaborating with the Finance team to reconcile contributions and grants bi-monthly
  • Responding to donor inquiries promptly and managing necessary documentation, including attendance and outcome reports
  • Participating in and supporting agency-wide development events to further the organization’s mission

The candidate should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • 3-5 years of experience in a fundraising environment with hands-on CRM experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relational database tools
  • Strong research, analytical, and computer skills, with an adaptable approach to learning new systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with current fundraising practices and accounting principles
  • Maintain data integrity by proactively updating donor records, linking event registrants to relevant events, and creating campaigns, funds, and appeals aligned with the general ledger
  • Strong ability to generate and deliver weekly and monthly reports with analytical insights, ensuring clear communication to stakeholders using data management systems
